    How does the Rating system work?

    We have the simplest rating system possible so the vast majority of internet users will find the rating user friendly and reliable. We have developed the rating system that works as follows;

    • Merchants that conduct businesses on the internet apply to become member of MerchantRating.com.
    • Upon becoming a member, we will provide the html code of MerchantRating seal to be displayed at your website. The seal shows your commitment to your customers that you are a serious and trustworthy merchant. The seal is linked to your Merchant Report at MerchantRating.com database. 
    • We continuously update your rating based on the feedbacks provided by your actual customers. Your customers submit the feedbacks by clicking on MerchantRating seal displayed at your website or directly at MerchantRating.com. We vigorously check the feedbacks to ensure that they are genuine and legitimate. We will email the merchant whenever we receive negative feedbacks. We will give a minimum of 14 days for the merchant to respond before posting the negative rating. 
    • You can invite your previous customers to leave feedbacks based on their pleasant experiences in doing business with you. Your previous customers can submit the feedbacks by clicking the MerchantRating seal that is displayed at your website. These feedbacks will be reflected in your current rating.
    • Using 10 feedback parameters in the Feedbacks/Questionnaires Form, merchants are rated by their actual customers. Based on the score from this Feedbacks/Questionnaires Form, we calculate the rating and award the number of stars to member merchant.
    • The higher Number of Stars (maximum of 5 stars) would reflect the most positive feedbacks given by the customers. The lower number of stars indicates a less favorable feedback.
    • Your customers are also welcome to leave text testimonials of their business experiences with the merchant. 
    • To ensure integrity of the rating, we are unable to remove any score in the Rating System, but merchants who receive more than 15 feedbacks will have the option of removing some text testimonials. The points scored from the feedbacks remains and are reflected on the current Number of Stars. We will remove the points scored by false ratings submitted by unauthorized people or those who have never done business with the merchant. 
    • These ratings serve only as a guide and should be used as one of many parameters in evaluating trustworthiness of the merchants.

    We work with both merchants and consumers to ensure that the feedbacks are legitimate and accurate. We have many proprietary methods in protecting the rating as well as the legitimacy of the rating.
